Lect. Dr. Eng. Maria COVEI, project coordinator, is a Doctor in Chemistry with expertise in materials for solar energy conversion and other optoelectronic applications, as proved by the 9 papers published in main stream journals, 3 conference papers and 1 book published in Transilvania University publishing house, as well as the participation at 10 national and international conferences. She was part of the research team of 5 national and international grants and is the winner of an EMRS Award for PhD Students. Her role in the project is to integrate the activities relating to the synthesis, characterization, optimization and validation of the composite thin films with self-cleaning, IR-shielding and anti-reflecting properties, as well as to ensure the project management.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Ion Visa,

project mentor, is Ph.D. supervisor in Mechanical Engineering with extended expertise in solar energy conversion systems implemented in the built environment and communities (modelling, design and development). He authored over 250 papers in main stream journals, 10 books/chapters and 14 patents. He coordinated 22 international/national grants (including the structural funds project that developed the R&D Institute of the Transilvania University), was scientific responsible in other 7 and was involved in other 31 grants and contracts. His role in the project is to supervise and assist the project coordinator in the implementation of the grant activities; based on his broad experience, he will support the project administration.
